John has been a partner in Eidolon Communications for more than twenty years, during which time he has developed strategy and management programs for a wide-range of non-profit accounts, many of which he put in the mail for the very first time, including Brooklyn Botanic Garden, New York Restoration Project, Legal Action Center, and Poetry Society of America.
Prior to forming Eidolon, John was National Program Director of the American Social Health Association, where he stewarded ASHA’s winning bids for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control’s AIDS Hotline and National AIDS Education contracts; he personally directed the establishment of the CDC AIDS Hotline in New York when it was launched in 1985-86. He was chair of the board of directors of Callen-Lorde Community Health Center, guiding its growth from a small neighborhood-based STD clinic to the largest gay and lesbian primary care health facility in the world. |
 |
Dennis brings more than 30 years of experience to his role at Eidolon Communications, where he serves as creative strategist, message specialist and principal writer for its clients. He co-founded Eidolon with partner John Graves in 1987 after a stint as a freelance journalist and copywriter and as a senior writer for The Kamber Group, a Washington, D.C.-based public relations firm. Prior to joining Kamber, he was deputy press secretary for then-U.S. Rep. S. William Green (NY-18), and a political advertising producer. Dennis has created and written award-winning packages for the International Rescue Committee, Human Rights Campaign, Consumer Reports, United Nations Foundation, the Trevor Project and other organizations, and written for four Democratic presidential campaigns. He was co-chair of the board of directors of GLAAD/NY for two years, during which time he co-founded the GLAAD Media Awards. He is a former member of the board of directors of SAGE, Services and Advocacy for Gay & Lesbian Elders and an adult literacy tutor for Literacy Partners in New York. |

Amy has been raising money for nonprofit organizations since her college involvement with Best Buddies. During her 15+ years in direct response, she has designed and implemented successful fundraising and advocacy campaigns for nonprofits of all sizes. In addition to her time at Eidolon, Amy has worked in a wide variety of organizations, including as Director of Direct Response Marketing, Online Advocacy and Fundraising at Planned Parenthood Federation of America and as Director of Membership and Marketing at the Jane Goodall Institute.
Amy’s approach to client programs goes beyond individual campaign performance to analyze the long term viability of programs. Her strategic outlook puts the relationship with the donor first, and addresses factors like long-term member value, retention, and return on investment to ensure the health and development of her client programs.
Amy currently serves on the board of the Direct Marketing Fundraisers Association (DMFA), and as a member of the board for a small start-up nonprofit, Union Capital Boston (UCB).

Lisa French’s drive to make the world a better place began with community service at an early age and continues now after 15 years in direct response marketing. Prior to joining Eidolon, Lisa was the Director of Direct Response Marketing at Americans United for Separation of Church and State. She led the team at AU to steer a file in decline on to a solid growth path in a matter of twelve months. In prior positions, Lisa has had the privilege to work with a broad range of clients from the Center for Reproductive Rights to Disabled American Veterans, Amnesty International, DCCC and Special Olympics. She also spent several years directing the fundraising programs at Defenders of Wildlife. Her range of experience enables her to anticipate her clients’ needs and questions before they are asked. She believes that data should drive decisions and that the donor experience is about more than just giving money. While Lisa enjoys a holistic approach to direct response, she is passionate about special audiences, like sustainers. She has been fortunate to help build and steward monthly giving programs for several clients over the years. |

Kevin has a degree in graphic design from Parsons the New School for Design in New York City, as well as a B.F.A. from Florida State University.
